I'm new
Frequently Asked Questions about Sunday Morning
What do I wear?
We do not have a dress code. We do ask that you wear clothes and modesty is the biblical standard we hold to (in other words wear enough clothes to cover up the the parts that should be covered up.)
We encourage people to be themselves and to dress in the way that they are most comfortable. If you are comfortable in jeans then wear jeans, if you are comfortable more dressed up then dress up. Hint: Most people dress on the casual side.
What is the music/worship like?
Our worship is mainstream contemporary. We aren't afraid to get excited about God nor is it uncommon for us to sit quietly and reflect on God. We usually have a full band but some times just use acoustic guitars. The music segment of our worship time last about 35 minutes.
What about my children?
Our children begin with us in the sanctuary and then are dismissed to go to Kids4Christ (our Children's program) in the middle of the service. You are welcome to go with them if that will help either them or you to be more comfortable. We have a nursery for children under 3 that is availble during the whole service. Newborns are welcome to stay with Mom or Dad and their is a room with a window in the back of the sanctuary.
What should I be expecting?
To connect with God and to connect with people. Our service is very interactive. We sing together, pray together, give people chances to share what God is doing in their lives. The service is far more about a dialogue than a monologue. We take a break mid-way through our service for people to meet and great, go to the restroom or get a dougnut & coffee.
What is the teaching style?
The teaching time is about how to practically apply the scriptures to our lives. We do both verse by verse and topical studies. Humor is highly valued and if you don't like to laugh at church... well...we may not be the right church for you. The teaching time of our gathering last about 45 minutes.
